Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Account details: your name, phone number and/or email.
• Listings: the spot's address, access instructions, photos, hours and prices.
• Bookings: times, vehicle description, amounts, and cancellations.
• Payment and payout details, which Stripe collects and stores. We see only limited information like your card's brand and last four digits, and whether your payouts are set up.
• Location, only when you tap a "near me" option. We use it to center the map and don't keep a history of where you've been.
• Basic technical data such as device type, IP address and error logs, which keep the app working and secure.

2. How we use it

• To run bookings: showing spots, taking payment, paying hosts, and sending confirmations and sign-in codes.
• To keep people safe and prevent fraud and abuse.
• To support you when something goes wrong.
• To improve the app.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

3. What other users see

• Anyone can see a listing's photos, description, price and approximate location (within about a block), along with the host's first name.
• A spot's exact address and access instructions are shown only to drivers with a confirmed booking.
• Hosts see the name and vehicle description of drivers who book their spot, and the driver's phone number from booking until a day after it ends.

4. Companies that help us

We share only what each one needs to do its job:

• Stripe: payments, payouts and host identity checks
• Supabase: database, storage and sign-in
• Vercel: app hosting
• Twilio: text messages
• Resend: email
• OpenFreeMap and OpenStreetMap (or Mapbox): map tiles and address search

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a merger or acquisition.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account while it's open. Booking and payment records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, usually up to 7 years. Everything else is deleted or anonymized within 90 days of closing your account.

6. Your choices and rights

You can see and edit most of your information in the app. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account; just email us at hello@textsidekick.com. We'll answer within 30 days. California residents have these rights under the CCPA/CPRA, and we won't treat you differently for using them.

If you're in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, you also have the right to object to or restrict how we use your data, to take it to another service, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We rely on these legal bases: running our contract with you (bookings, payments, payouts), our legitimate interests (safety, fraud prevention, improving the app), legal obligations (tax and accounting records), and your consent where we ask for it (like location).

7. Where your data is processed

ParkMoose and the companies that help us are mostly based in the United States, so your information may be processed there. When we transfer data from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses with those companies.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and card data never touches our servers. No system is perfect, so if we ever have a breach that affects you, we'll tell you promptly.

9. Kids

ParkMoose isn't for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

10. Changes

If we make an important change to this policy, we'll tell you in the app or by email or text first.
