Terms of Service

1. What ParkMoose is

ParkMoose is a marketplace. Hosts list parking they control (a driveway, garage, carport or lot spot) and drivers book it for a set time. ParkMoose runs the app and handles payments, but we don't own, manage or inspect the spots, and we aren't a party to the arrangement between a host and a driver.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract.
• Give accurate information and keep your phone number or email current. We use them to sign you in and to reach you about bookings.
• You're responsible for activity on your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.

3. Hosting

When you list a spot, you promise that:

• You have the right to rent it out. That includes permission from your landlord, HOA or building if you need it, and following local rules.
• Your listing is accurate: the location, size, covering, access instructions, hours and photos.
• The spot will be available and reachable for every confirmed booking.

Payouts go through Stripe. You'll need to finish Stripe's identity and bank verification before your spot can be booked. ParkMoose keeps a 5% commission from your price, and Stripe sends you the rest.

4. Parking

When you book a spot, you agree to:

• Park only the vehicle you described, only in the booked spot, and only for the booked time.
• Follow the host's access instructions and leave the spot as you found it.
• Not store anything, sleep in the vehicle, work on it, or use the spot for anything illegal.

If you overstay, the host may have your vehicle towed at your expense, and we may charge you for the extra time.

5. Payments and fees

You pay the host's price plus a 10% service fee, which is shown before you pay. Stripe processes all payments; ParkMoose never sees or stores your full card number. Prices may be higher near big events when a host has set event pricing, and we always show the total up front. Spots are priced and charged in the local currency of the country they're in; if your card is in a different currency, your bank may add a conversion fee.

6. Cancellations and refunds

• Drivers get a full refund when they cancel at least 1 hour before the booking starts. After that, there's no refund.
• If a host cancels, the driver always gets a full refund.
• ParkMoose Guarantee: if you arrive and the spot is blocked, you can't get in, or it isn't as described, report it in the app from 30 minutes before your booking until it ends. We refund everything you paid for that stay right away, including the service fee and any extensions. The host isn't paid for that booking.
• Automatic Guarantee refunds are limited to 2 per driver every 90 days. Other reports, and reports past that limit, are reviewed by our team, usually within a day. Misusing the Guarantee can get an account closed.
• Hosts: a spot with 2 or more Guarantee refunds within 90 days is paused until the host checks it and publishes it again.

7. Damage, theft and insurance

ParkMoose doesn't insure vehicles, property or people. Drivers are responsible for their vehicle and for any damage they cause. Hosts are responsible for the condition and safety of their spot. Check that your own auto, home or renter's insurance covers you. If something goes wrong, tell us and we'll help both sides sort it out, but the claim is between the host and the driver.

8. Things you can't do

• Take bookings or payments outside ParkMoose for someone you met on ParkMoose.
• List a spot you don't control, or post fake listings, reviews or photos.
• Harass, discriminate against, or endanger anyone.
• Scrape, overload, or try to break into the app.

9. Ending things

You can stop using ParkMoose anytime. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put others at risk. Bookings already paid for are handled under the cancellation rules above.

10. Disclaimers and limits

ParkMoose is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything that happens at a spot, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid ParkMoose in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email or text before it takes effect. These terms are governed by California law. If you live outside the US, you keep any protections the consumer laws of your country give you, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
